We had been running Colours in Africa for about twenty years when Tangereen was birthed as the retail face of Colours in Africa.
Colours in Africa is at the forefront of an eclectic afro focused lifestyle brand. Its major was furniture but also pioneered the manufacturing of awnings, fibre glass planters, synthetic rattan furniture in Nigeria amongst others.

We had been running colours in Africa for about twenty years. Colours in Africa was at the forefront of an eclectic afro focused lifestyle brand. Its major was furniture but had been involved in pioneering manufacturing of awning, fibre glass planters synthetic rattan furniture in Nigeria amongst others
Our stores also traded in deco items from The Cape to Cairo and everywhere in between.
Our stores were literally gallery experiences and now our Tangereen website takes that experience to the whole world.
We feel that Nigeria presents new opportunities with a youth bulge. Buying furniture and furnishing from a retail outlet was considered a luxury. Most of the furniture consumed in Nigeria comes from the informal sector. We have decided to explore this opportunity as it also has scalable significance.
This was how Tangereen was born.
The name itself is taken from the fruit which has a very short seasonal appearance. It’s however a sweet fruit and well sought after when in season.
